Welcome to the Parkettes Alumni Foundation website to commemorate 50+ years of dancing and 20 years cheering for the Minnesota Vikings by the St. Louis Park Parkettes.
With encouragement from the St. Louis Park Historical Society, a fifty year reunion of the St. Louis Park Parkettes took place on April 22, 2006. The Parkettes were a dance organization that began in 1956, by and for St. Louis Park High School girls. The Parkettes were cheerleaders for the Minneapolis Lakers basketball team until the team moved to Los Angeles in 1960. In 1963, the Parkettes became the Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders.
